  • Spot the Stampex 2025 Patron pin badge! This is Richard Scott Morel, Curator of the Philatelic Collections at the British Library. At Virtual Stampex 2025, Richard gave a Talk on Britain’s First Stamp Engravers - a fascinating story for another interested in stamps, engraving and/or fine craftsmanship! The Talk is now available to watch on our YouTube Channel. https://lnkd.in/e_nS3Xfc Thanks again to Richard for being such a fab supporter of Stampex!

New research from the museum has uncovered how the postal service facilitated communication between Britain and the Caribbean as the number of British-owned plantations grew in the last 18th and early 19th century. The findings of which helped form the foundations of our new exhibition Voices of Resistance: Slavery and Post in the Caribbean. Our latest curatorial blog re-examines these letters from plantation managers in Jamaica, revealing glimpses of the lives of enslaved men, women, and children, whose lives we seek to honour. • Our new unstaffed spaces were popular last year so we’re bringing them back this year! Members who are not able to make the show in person but still want to make a connection with Stampex visitors can book a space which includes a 6ft table with table cloth in a colour to suit your brand and space for a pop up banner. We also have some space available for a more flexible layout which might include a touch screen or something more creative than a table and a banner. You can use these spaces for whatever you like and we will ensure your space is set up beautifully, remains topped up with materials throughout the four day show, and we can store your banners and materials for future shows at the PTS Office or arrange for them to be returned to you. You can send materials like freebies, leaflets, catalogues, branded pens etc. to the BDC direct or to a PTS Team Member in advance of the show. Prices start from £225. More information including details of available staffed spaces can be found at https://lnkd.in/ez3iMKzj Contact us if you’re interested in getting your brand on show at THE show! Stampex International takes place from the 22nd to the 25th October at the Business Design Centre in Central London. • Day 2 of the PostEurop Philatelic Forum has been full of energy and inspiration! Our Managing Director, Suzanne Rae presented to the forum this morning as a Gold Sponsor of this important event. She shared insights into trends in the philatelic trade, growth areas and weaker links in the philatelic ecosystem, some stats on the international and diverse nature of the PTS and Stampex’s reach, and ideas on how we can work together with postal operators and suppliers to the stamp industry to boost sales and engagement. We are all about innovating, investing in the future, acting aspirationally for the hobby, and collaborating internationally and across all aspects of the philatelic ecosystem. We have been received many membership enquiries (thank you - we are working together for a stronger future for philately!) and we look forward to more discussions over the coming weeks. We can’t wait to welcome our new Members into our community and start sharing the exciting initiatives they are working on. For now, here are three photos from the event: - Bridget from PTS Member, Guernsey Stamps & Collectables - Aaron from PTS Member, Gibraltar Philatelic Bureau - Stampex Bug with his new Aland 2025 dress courtesy of Hämmerle & Vogel 🙏🏻
